Travis Varner of NC Trees and More cut two large oak trees and several small cedars in our backyard last week. Travis answered our call and promptly set a firm date to do the work. He began and finished the work as agreed. The trees were next to a fence that joins our neighbors on one side and our house on another. Since it was not practical to use a crane in this tight spot, Travis climbed the huge oaks to remove them. He demonstrated exceptional skill in both climbing and cutting the trees. He practiced appropriate safety measures when working in the trees and took similar care of his crew below. Limbs and trunks were carefully tied before they were cut, and each was placed on the ground with such precision that it did not come near the fence nor our house. The crew on the ground constantly removed debris from the work area. When the trees were down, the crew cleaned the backyard and left it in good condition. I highly recommend Travis Varner of NC Trees and More for his professionalism, skill, and competitive pricing.

We unfortunately needed a cypress tree removed because it had become diseased. We got several quotes and decided to go with NC Trees and More. Todd came out to give us a quote and explained how the tree would be removed. He offered for us to keep the chips from the wood. We arranged a date. Travis arrived and proceeded to remove the tree quickly and efficiently. He moved the chips to a location easy for us. He also moved the trunks and cut them into logs for us to burn later. He suggested a replacement tree as this one covered our water garden. The whole process was done expeditiously and efficiently. I recommend them highly!

Travis and his crew came out to help our neighborhood tackle some trees that were dead or struggling with insects. They were able to take down what we needed and helped us treat and preserve the rest. We had one tree in a tricky spot between houses and fences, and they managed to get it down safely. They gave us several great options and price points and really seemed to understand our priority of saving everything we could. Our HOA can be a hassle for vendors to deal with (extra paperwork) but Travis was great about working with them and got things taken care of quickly. I wouldn’t think twice about using them again, or recommending to a friend.

The crew from NC Trees and More drove to Asheville after hurricane Helene to help people with trees blown over by the storm. I was fortunate that they ended up at my home. These guys are total pros. I had a big tree with multiple trunks, with lots of big branches, some dead, hanging over my pond, which had some delicate landscaping. They examined the situation, asked a lot of questions, listened to my concerns, and came up with a plan that removed the threatening limbs, saved most of the tree, and didn’t damage anything along the way. I was impressed with their knowledge and their work ethic. They clearly know trees very well. They were careful but also worked quickly and efficiently. They didn’t cut anything that didn’t need to be cut, and they thoroughly cleaned up the site before they left. This is what you get when you hire professional, licensed arborists — skilled, educated, professionals who do the job right, not some guy with a chainsaw who’s gonna do it for cheap. I highly recommend these guys.
